Iron Knitter 2: Mad Knitting
Rules

1. The object of the game is to solve clues to complete all 6 patterns, knit them and post pictures of your completed socks before anyone else. Whoever completes all 6 rounds, posts their picture and emails the Supreme Commander first for the sixth and final round will be declared the winner.

2. The way this is supposed to be done is by solving the puzzles on the clue sheet. By properly solving the puzzles, you will be able to knit the socks in the pattern.

3. Iron Knitter is only open to the warriors who have registered to compete. You may not share the patterns with anyone not registered to compete in Iron Knitter.

4. Warriors may work individually or in teams. Since solving the puzzles may be difficult, you may form teams of no more than 5 members to solve the puzzles.

4. Do not share the answers to the clues with anyone outside your team and do not post the answers in any public forum. Doing so will ruin the game for the other warriors and will result in disqualification and public vilification.

5. There are 6 rounds in Iron Knitter. At the start of each round, clues will be posted on the Sock Wars blog. Solve the clues and email the answer(s) to the Supreme Commander, who will email you the pattern. Knit the pair of socks and post a picture in the Iron Knitter group on Ravelry. In each round, a certain percentage of knitters who are the first to complete the pattern will continue to the next round. The percentage will be announced at the beginning of each round. Any warrior not moving onto the next round is out of the running for the title of Iron Knitter.

6. Communication is very important. To let the Supreme Commander know that you have completed the socks for a given round, email the Supreme Commander to let her know and upload a picture of the socks into the Ravelry group. Order of finish will be determined using the time the SC receives your email stating that you have completed the socks. You are finished with a round only after a picture of your socks have been uploaded into Ravelry AND you have sent an email to the SC announcing that you are finished. If you are not a member of Ravelry, please join as soon as possible. You may need a flickr account to upload pictures into Ravelry.

7. Keep in mind that the other Iron Knitters are doing this to have fun, just like you, so don’t do anything to hinder anyone else. Spend your time working on the puzzles or knitting the socks, and be a good sport.

8. Feel free to contact the Supreme Commander if anything on the clue sheet is unclear, if you have any questions about the rules, or just to let me know how you are doing.

9. Patterns can be altered for fit (since you are knitting these socks for yourself). Patterns cannot be altered other than to adjust for fit unless modifications are approved by the Supreme Commander.
