Iron Knitter 2: Mad Knitting requires an adventurous spirit but no mailing of socks.
It is themed around the AMC television series "Mad Men".

Iron Knitter is 1 list of materials, 6 patterns, and only one knitter who will conquer all 6 patterns to emerge victorious and claim the title of Iron Knitter. At the start of each round of the competition, a clue sheet is released. To move to the next round, the warrior:
1. solves the puzzles on the clue sheet and emails the answer to the Supreme Commander to receive a copy of the pattern by reply email;
2. completes 2 socks according to the pattern;
3. takes a picture of the socks and posts the picture in the Iron Knitter group on Ravelry; and
4. emails the Supreme Commander to let the SC know that the warrior has posted a picture of her socks in the Iron Knitter group on Ravelry.

A pre-announced percentage of knitters who complete each round will move onto the next round. The winner of Iron Knitter is the warrior who completes all 6 rounds, and who is the first knitter to finish Round 6.

Iron Knitter Prizes
Iron Knitter wins 10 skeins of Scooby sock yarn from
the Cocoa Beach Yarn Company, valued at $240.
Each round one randomly-selected warrior from the warriors who completed the round will win 1 skein of Scooby sock sock yarn valued at $24.

Mad Mini Sock Wars

Mad Mini Sock Wars is a Sock Wars competition with miniature socks themed around Mad Men. On Sept. 25, 2010 and Sept. 26, 2010, each warrior will receive an email containing the names and addresses of 5 fellow warriors. The warrior will knit a miniature sock for each warrior using the competition mini-sock pattern(s). On October 1, 2010, the warrior mail a mini sock to each of the 5 targets on their list along with the name of the Mad Men character they have assigned to that target. The socks should be small enough to be mailed in a business sized envelope.

Each warrior will also email the list of the character names they assigned to their targets to the Supreme Commander, so she can compile the character names to determine the most frequent character name assigned to each warrior. If a warrior receives all 5 character names, then they will be randomly assigned one of those characters.

Mad Mini Sock Wars Parties
On Oct. 1st, party like it's 1964. Hold the party at your local armory (yarn shop) and show off your weapons before firing them on your target. Supplies and survival kits (party packs) are available from the Cocoa Beach Yarn Company.

Mad Mini Sock Wars Prizes
One randomly-selected warrior from each of the 5 groups created using the character names will win 1 skein of Scooby sock sock yarn valued at $24.
